Work related stress and how Chartis MR worked with both the employer and employee to help a supervisor back to work.

Fractured Wrist Back To Top

A simple slip at work affected an employee’s physical capabilities. Chartis MR devised a graduated return to work programme to reflect the employee’s health limitations.

A 41 year old male, employed as a Data Collector slipped on a wet surface and fractured his left wrist, during working hours. Read more.

 

Serious Injury at Work Back To Top

After a serious accident at work, Chartis MR helped an employee to find a new career entirely.

A Serious Physical Injury Back To Top

A mechanical accident left an employee permanently disabled. However, Chartis MR’s medical and vocational service helped the employee to return to their original job.

A 34 year-old fabrication operator caught his right hand in cutting machinery.
Damage to the hand was serious:
- His index finger was badly damaged and needed a metal rod
- His ring finger and most of his little finger were severed.

An early medical report suggested that the injuries had constituted “a major blow to the employee’s future chances of employment”. Read more.

 

Unable to Work Back To Top

A 49 year-old male HGV driver had a serious fall at work. His injuries were severe and included:

- A major fracture to the pelvis
- Soft tissue injuries to his right leg and shoulder
- A deep vein thrombosis

On release from hospital he began to suffer from depression and became very
